Deep ecological awareness recognizes the fundamental interdependence of all phenomena and the fact that, as individuals and societies we are all embedded in (and ultimately dependent on) the cyclical process of nature. It may also be called an ecological view, if the term "ecological" is used in a much broader and deeper sense than usual. The new paradigm may be called a holistic world view, seeing the world as an integrated whole rather than a dissociated collection of parts. ![]()
