The Away Day is free to attend – but is ticketed – and lunch and refreshments are included. There will also be time and space to chat and connect with other delegates and peers in different ways. Afternoon sessions will feature a briefing on the LAS freelance report key findings and an interactive session on Fair Work with Jeanie Scott of Culture Radar and Ruth Stevenson of Ruthless Research. The day begins with a keynote address from poet, mbira player and UNESCO artist-in-residence at University of Glasgow Tawona Sitholé, followed by quick-fire talks and discussions on the themes of live events, writer opportunities and funding. ![]() Working in collaboration with Publishing Scotland’s Libraries Day, we will bring together LAS members, publishers, librarians and other literature professionals as well as freelancers working in Scotland’s literature, languages and publishing sector. We’re really excited to gather again in the same space. Join us on Tue, 10am for 10:30-16:30 at Dundee Central Library for a day that aims to stimulate (re)connection, inspire creative conversations and information sharing, and work towards setting LAS advocacy priorities for the year ahead. ![]()
